This song popped into my head the other day. My mom played this song quite a bit when I was a kid; I think she had the album featuring this single and she’d crank it up on her GE Wildcat record player. This was also popular on some of the stations she enjoyed. I’ve always enjoyed Jennifer Warnes. She’s always seemed like a very down-to-earth performer. Famous for several tracks over the years, she’s probably best known for “(I’ve Had) The Time of Life” from Dirty Dancing, a duet she performing with Bill Medley. Another popular track was “Right Time of the Night”, and here’s her performance of this song on “The Midnight Special”. I can hear my mother turning this song up just a little bit on her GE Wildcat record player.
