What if I told you that I can speak all the slavic languages? Okay… I actually don’t. But I have a really good understanding of them that makes me feel like I almost do. It’s such a great feeling when traveling - understanding locals, making your way around with ease, and let’s admit it - better prices (at least I like to think so). What’s my superpower, you may ask? Honestly, it’s all thanks to the two languages I already speak, Russian and Serbian. An entryway into the slavic languages is very powerful to understanding all the others, however I’ve noticed that there’s “some levels to it”. The below is really just my perspective and experience. Through various talks with friends & other slavic-language-speaking people, I’ve come to understand that there are lots of nuances.
