Slow down!Pentax Zoom 90-WRFujifilm Fujicolor 2002026 When I wrote my piece on Carmel, Indiana, recently, I mentioned the statues that dot downtown, including this one. This police officer stands where Main Street intersects the Monon rail trail, clearly making a “slow down” motion. I’ve braked for him more than once. That’s intentional on Carmel’s part — you catch him out of the corner of your eye, your subconscious reads what he’s doing, your foot goes to the brake pedal.
