Doesn’t seem like something a developer so in tune with the arcade space would do, right? Well, I suppose in 1980s Japan, everyone had to kneel before The Portopia Serial Murder Case at some point. It was simply too big of a deal! While not something you’d expect or even ask for from Capcom, I actually think the idea of an adventure game by them has loads of potential. This was their only original Famicom Disk System game, too, and they could have simply continued to make cheap conversions of their NES ports like Section Z and Gun.Smoke, so I respect them taking a swing!
