I don't subscribe to any streaming service partially because I don't want to get hooked to any TV series. I've heard great things about the Apple TV offering, so I recently watched two series: Pluribus and Murderbot. Out of nowhere, Apple became the new HBO, where the good stuff is. Those two series have very little in common. One is a scifi comedy about a sentient (and cheeky) robot, the other is an (equally, if not more) funny series about being alone. They both take place in a SciFi setting, and that's about it. I watched Pluribus first, mostly because Jay from Red Letter Media talked fondly about it. As TV series go, it's great. Hilarious, interesting, sometimes even thought provoking. All this and some people say that it's the most boring thing they've ever experienced. Some people wouldn't know greatness if it was between them and a bag of chips. It is, however, still a TV series. Around midway it became clear that authors didn't have anything planned. The entire world exists…
