This post was backdated, because I didn’t get around to publishing at the time. Today was our second and last day in Vũng Tàu on our Vietnam 2026 trip. This coastal peninsula is an administrative part of greater Ho Chi Minh city, but it’s such a different place. It’s just as hot and humid, but it feels more tropical and relaxed. The ocean breezes are beautiful, the roads are less chaotic, and everyone is more laid back. Ho Chi Minh City is one of my new favourite places in the whole world, but it was also nice to take a break from the frantic pace for a bit. A holiday within a holiday. I won’t list off every meal we’ve had, though I will say breakfast was especially nice at this hotel. Unlike most that put the buffet on the first few floors, this restaurant was on the roof. This gave us stunning ocean views, and the natural light streaming in was beautiful. The steep hills off to the side surrounded by water almost made me feel like we were in a Vietnamese Gibraltar!
