Luca Cavallin wrote a wonderful guide to AI Engineering for Developers. It covers patterns, infrastructure and introduces several concepts one ought to know (RAG, Agents, Prefix Caching, ReAct, LangGraph). I see this as a starting point for any new graduate whose degree did not cover all of this stuff. Spoiler alert: the one I teach in does not. And it won’t any time soon. I’ll link to the post I am writing explaining why.
