Federico Viticci: Perhaps it’s not the most poetic image, me having a deep realization about my career and the company I write about as I’m staring at the back of two men’s heads. Whenever you’re lucky enough to find it, you have to receive life’s poetry — even when, and especially if, it makes for a funny story to tell. That moment encapsulated the energy I would feel for the rest of the conference: We’re witnessing the sunset of an Apple era, and most people I talked to were buzzing with excitement for the next one that will soon be upon us. The whole essay is delightful and made me pause for a moment to think of how much has changed over the years of running this site. I think it’s really easy to get into the day-to-day routine and not take stock in time passing.
