im not EXACTLY sure if tumbr counts as small web but its considered a dying platform, it offers native rss support, andthe blog im reading this from submitted theirs to a blog aggregatorso i think it counts ish even if i hate the site itselfanyways, i came across an article talking aboutthe inherent differences of game remakes and movie remakes, and questioning why movie remakes are frowned oni do agree that part of it is simply the lack of evolution in the movie space, since fundamental changesare rare or not widely adopted (like 3d movies or CYOA mechanics)i think the primary thing however is simply the ease of access and/or porting of it and/or making it palletable for audiencesso, a movie is basically just an media file basically anything can play back in essenseand obviously the production studios have the master copy with the highest resolution possible, then theyjust scale that down to consumer sizesalso, a movie usually doesnt look "dated" unless its animated and VERY poorly…
