Miles: 0 Some of us took a zero day today. Some of us didn’t. Modelo walked down the street today when we were all minding our own business and we all freaked out. We didn’t need to speak Chinese to let him know how excited we were to see him again. A funny conversation we had with Modelo was that he said the only reason he or anyone sensible would thru hike the AT (Appalachian Trail) is to triple crown. That’s hike all three trails also including the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) and CDT (Continental Divide Trail). The other trails are more scenic but require more planning. The AT is known for being the most social and hardest physically but not the best or most beautiful at all. That kinda made us laugh and facepalm very hard. he hiked the PCT before this one. Other things that happened today… Talked with my family for a bit and caught up with my friend June who really helped me get motivated to keep going. I really need the push every now and then.
