Picked up my new laptop for work at the office this week. A new MacBook Pro, but with much more restrictive settings and a throttled internet connection that's constantly monitored and filtered. Ventured out to my old university in West London on Thursday evening to visit Made in Brunel Graduate Showcase. A shadow of its former self, with a just a single space on campus of mostly domestic students showcasing their work. No longer in a Central London venue and no longer a packed schedule of talks from the design industry and alumni. Thanks Brexit and thanks astronomical tuition fees for all students. Saturday went to the V&A East Museum with Mena to look around the recently opened gallery (not the same as the V&A East Storehouse). It's relatively small compared to the main gallery in South Kensington, but modern, interesting and very well curated.
