Content Warning: This post contains venting about tics.I've had tics almost my entire life. I went undiagnosed for a long time, despite my symptoms. My mother said I began exhibiting them at the age of seven. I had previously thought that it had presented during high school which may have barred me from getting the support that I needed throughout most of my adult life so far. Nonetheless, I've had the more minor tics. Grunts, exhales, face twitches, eye blinking an incessant amount of times. I had a particularly gnarly one in either middle or high school where my face would contort drastically and my jaw would tense up. The right side of my jaw never fully recovered from that one, honestly. All this to say that, around two weeks ago, I started having episodes.
