I first found out about Magic: The Gathering about a decade ago at a street festival. At the time I had no idea how to play, I was just given a handful of random cards from a box. I still have the very first card I've ever laid eyes on. It's a now double sleeved, heavily water damaged Scrapskin Drake. It's not anything special in-game, but it's special to me. Since that day, I have spent probably close to a thousand dollars on cards and sleeves and boosters. I have played more than countless games of various formats, and have poured an equal amount of time into crafting decks and learning new cards. It's such a fun game to me and after a multiple long year break (due to school and a schedule too busy to meet with friends) I've been getting back into it. A friend gifted me Tabletop Simulator on Steam a few weeks back, and I have been loving it. It lets me play without the limits of spending money and physical cards.
