Lounge Life
Airport Lounge – Charlotte, North Carolina Now that I’m retired and traveling more, my wife and I “invested” in a credit card that offers airport lounge access. It’s a nice benefit, among others, though the yearly fees are getting a bit steep. For now, we think the trade-off is with it. We sometimes schedule longer layovers to provide a larger buffer in case of delays. And, I no longer feel compelled to rush through the airport if I can help it. What do we do with the extra time? Go to one of those premium lounges that we have access to. Though, unfortunately, not all airports have them. This one in Charlotte is included with the Priority Pass access. There’s often an open bar or at least wine and beer. Too bad I don’t drink that much anymore. They also offer decent food and plenty of space to relax. It restores some of the civilized travel vibes of the golden era. That is, until we get on the plane, of course. Blog readers, you’ll love my free monthly photography magazine. Signup for…
