I’m Back at the Campground - and Someone is Cooking Bacon!

Yesterday, I checked out of the hotel and came back to the campground. The storm that passed thru the evening before must have been stronger than I thought. There were twigs and small branches scattered throughout my campsite. I imagined the sound of all that tree debris thunking on the roof of my van… if I had been at the campground instead of choosing the hotel. My 2 night stay turned into 3…I went to the hotel for a couple of days to escape the heat and humidity for a bit. There was a potentially bad storm front passing thru on the day I was supposed to go back to the campground. I don’t like storms when I’m in the van - especially when the weatherman says there could be tornadoes, hail, and high winds that could bring down trees and such. I decided to stay another night at the hotel. But getting to that decision wasn’t quick. It was also agonizing. Why is choosing comfort over stress so hard?I had enough reward points for a free night. But maybe I should save that free night for…
