Last night, while my husband was up in Chandler helping Jamie get ready for a trip to Los Angeles, I stopped at my favorite craft brewery and had a beer. Slow Body Brewing here in Tucson is known for its diverse clientele, which is one of the things I enjoy about the place, and I had a lovely conversation with the bartenders Laure and Freddy. Laure wished me a “Happy Pride!” as I sat down. I situated myself at the end of the bar so I could see the folks coming and going and just engage in general people watching, something I very much enjoy. The end of the bar features a small television (of mid 1990s vintage) with an attached VCR, and they show movies throughout the night. “Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar” was the movie of choice and it was just starting when I sat down.
