Another reason why I decided to take some leave, aside from my visit to ElectroneX, was to take some time to enjoy Vivid Sydney. This festival of lights runs from 6pm to 11pm every night, this year from 22nd May through 13th June. While it had started a while ago, the weather has been a bit wet and miserable this year, so I’ve struggled to find the time to visit. I visited for two nights – Tuesday 9th and Thursday 11th June, not long before the event ended. This post will feature some of the photos of the exhibits I felt were interesting, alongside some more generalised thoughts. Day One – Circular Quay Precinct Another year, another Vivid. Maybe I’m getting old, or perhaps the fact the exhibits aren’t so technologically exciting anymore, mostly being new content on similar hardware. While the map suggests the event has shrunk in terms of precincts and exhibits, it seems the attendance is still rather strong as I stood shoulder-to-shoulder on a weekday.
