We renewed our yearly passes to Britzer Garten︎ a few weeks after last year’s validity ran out and went to the park to see how the rhododendrons and other flowers were doing. The rhododendrons were almost completely done for the season, but many roses are in bloom now. I stood and sketched the “Dortmund” variety of climbing rose in the rose garden. Then I sat and painted in watercolor in the beating sun until it went below the distant trees.
