I took the Sigma out this week on my even walk and shot in in raw+jpg. For those who are interested in Sigma tomfoolery, this means that the camera shot in Sigma’s priority .x3f format which is best processed in their proprietary (but free) Sigma Photo Pro (or using their Photoshop plugin). The results can be spectacular: I also shot a bit with my little Ricoh. I’ve been playing around with the film simulation profiles. Before people get all upset, I’m only doing this for fun and the nostalgia of seeing digital photos look like the slide film (in this case Kodak E1006 and Fuji Fortia) that I used in the 1990s and early 2000s. I also like using Ilford Delta 100 as a base for messing around with high contrast black and white images. Again, this is just for fun. I have no pretensions of doing anything “artistique” or taking photos for publication or anything like that. This is in BRILLIANT TECHNICOLOR.
