Back in November, my partner and I got to see Yellowcard open for A Day To Remember on their Maximum Fun Tour↗. We were somewhat disappointed by ADTR's performance (and their over-reliance on those giant distracting video screens that I've been complaining about lately) - but rather blown away by Yellowcard's set. So we jumped at the opportunity to see Yellowcard on their own headline tour, this time accompanied by New Found Glory. I've listened to both band's latest releases (Yellowcard: Better Days↗, New Found Glory: Listen Up!↗) a lot lately, and I was really looking forward to this show. The date finally came on Monday, and we drove up to Nashville's Ascend Ampitheater↗, hoping that the looming bad weather would clear off and we wouldn't get wet. It did! And we didn't! And the show was really great! Plain White T's Plain White T's got things started. I honestly hadn't thought about this band at all in twenty years. They did fine, but definitely not anywhere near the energy levels…
