When I made the Butter “Chicken” Rutabaga Potato last weekend the reason I gave out loud was because I wanted to test it as a vegetarian option for when I am doing more cooking for Melanie and Eric. It passed that hurdle with flying flavors. I will probably make some changes to my usual chicken curry recipe, but maybe not – my version is an easy weekday meal, Matty’s is more involved. But the real reason I made that recipe was because it was the last one on the list I made last December as my last post for 2025. I have now made everything on that list (including an Old Fashioned) and I managed to blog about all of them but the Yakitori. I didn’t blog that one because I forgot to get any pictures. I think I made it in January and wasn’t back in my “I’ll probably write about this later” mode. Also it is from the Japanese Grill cookbook and alas I don’t have a grill so it was a pale version of the real thing anyway. I might try to recreate this when we are back in MN next week. Rather…
