It truly is a time of transformation! Part I. HaircutAfter two and a half months of the aforementioned bit-chomping for a pixie cut, I finally got one yesterday! I was really nervous about it, because the last time I got a haircut in Cape Town, I overpaid for a really underwhelming haircut. This time, I paid only R50 more and got a full deluxe experience, with everything from hot chocolate and a ten-minute head massage to a hairdresser who paid such careful attention to my hair that there wasn't a strand out of place by the end. I knew what kind of cut I wanted, because I've had a pixie several times before. But I'd only ever trusted one hairdresser (who is now geographically very far from me) to get it right; everyone else just seemed to butcher it, until yesterday's hairdresser. I'm so relieved to have someone I can count on going to now!!
