Facebook has done a damn fine job of alienating people from their friends, showing them random people on the internet, and creepily suggesting advertising that matches a conversation you had with a friend at McDonald’s two days ago. What it hasn’t done well is keeping people connected. My feed is Indian memes (no idea,) political garbage FB thinks will bait me, every product I’ve ever reviewed because I visited the websites while confirming specs or a feature, or just for where to link them, cat scratchers, anti FLOCK posts, a whole host of couples suggestions because I’m watching the Four Seasons right now I’m guessing and we’ve reached that point, allergy medication because someone mentioned people were sneezing a lot this morning within range of the spyware phone.
