The first recording starts with the end of Sportsround. There’s a trail for My Life: Tough Kids. Then it’s What’s New Scooby-Doo? – Safari, So Goodi. I can’t believe they’ve stolen Christopher Biggins’ catchphrase. The Media Centre title was actually missing the ‘i’ in ‘Goodi’ but it’s there on screen. In Africa, some people on safari are chased by glowing animals. The Scooby Gang are going on safari. Fred’s very pleased with his new video camera, and wants to film all the animals. On the bus they meet the Hunseckers, who are also going to the safari. They meet Lloyd Mbuku, who’s joining the safari, and his pet monkey Jacko. Captain Robbie is the captain of the ship that’s taking them up river. He tells them that something strange is happening with the local animal – their numbers are falling, and nobody knows why. The famous zoologist Joan Goodfew is also there, as she’s been tracking animal numbers. On the boat, it gets caught in the river rapids, and ends up going over a waterfall.…
