June 2015 Yesterday I’d seen Puffin Island from a far on the Anglesey coast path. Today I was going for a closer look. Unfortunately public access to the island isn’t permitted as it’s a nature reserve. However it is still possible to get closer to the island because a company called Seacoast Safaris offer a tour around the island. This allows you to get much closer to the island and, hopefully, see some of the wonderful wildlife that lives there and in the waters around it. If I couldn’t walk around it, this would be the next best thing! So whilst this isn’t really a walk it does at least show a bit of the coast I otherwise wouldn’t have seen. I had done another walk along the coast this morning. I had made it a shorter walk so I would have time to fit in this boat trip later in the day too. So it was a fairly short drive around the coast from where I ended that walk to pretty Beaumaris. I parked in the main car park a short distance from the pier from where the boat would go. I soon…
