When we write down our troubling thoughts we dare not imagine, we are released from them, our very deepest fears. The fears that prevent us from understanding who we are and where we are capable of going. The fears that consume our energy. The fears that are ours to conquer.We see in legends of our shared past those slaying monsters and wild beasts. Journeys down dangerous paths. Ships navigating troublesome waters. We used those stories because, at one time, they were very real challenges. A stormy sea that ships traversed long ago is no greater challenge than our mind gives us today. Our fears and challenges have only changed shape as time passed, morphing into complex webs of human interaction, alliances, ego, and soul.Where we could find a peaceful world of harmony, we find a hostile place that continues in its want to devour us.
