Jenny Waters, Nora Rogers and Harrison Haynes have been playing together in various configurations for literal decades now, and there’s an elemental interplay throughout Solved By Walking’s seven tracks, the hypnotic/telepathic pulse of three musicians becoming one. There are moments when you feel like you’re eavesdropping on a particularly righteous Sonic Youth rehearsal, and others that made me think of The Cure on a motorik kick. Whatever comes to mind for you, these are Hours well spent.
