Exciting news: I finished knitting my Extra Lite Bright sweater! My version has 3/4 length sleeves, which was a necessity due to running short of the three darker shades of yarn… but I think will be just fine considering that I usually push my sleeves up my arms anyway. Here I am trying it on pre-blocking and with the yarn ends all hanging out. Once it’s dry I’ll get some pictures of me wearing it, and then write up my thoughts. With the green sweater laid out to dry, I wound up yarn for the next one – the Calluna Pullover – and started my gauge swatch. The pattern specifies gauge for stockinette, a slipped stitch pattern, and a crossed stitch pattern… but there is no stockinette in this sweater. I’m swatching it anyway, just to be sure. I expect hand-dyed yarn to have some inconsistencies even in the same dye lot, but one of the skeins in this set is tinged much more yellow-orange than the others. My plan is to alternate skeins and stripe it in at the bottom of the sweater, and then…
