Not sure if anyone else needs to hear this, but I realized recently that limiting my token use (opting for a low token plan), saves me money and encourages me to stay focused on my time. At the start of a product development, I brain dump all the things I need to do before I can officially launch this feature. It ranges from product features, to marketing tasks, to legal tasks, etc. I noticed that when I paid for the higher token plans, I spent wayyy more time adding features (and fixing bugs with those features) than I did on everything around a product launch. I wanted to ensure my $200/mo is well spent, as well as vibe coding is wayyy more fun to me than designing marketing materials or writing blog posts. When I lowered my plan to $20/mo, the “You’re out of Codex messages” forced me to be more thoughtful of how to use the limited tokens and made me allocate more time to everything around coding (marketing).
