Bear Blog Question Challenge

I was inspired by Harry's post (which was, in turn, inspired by Robert's post) to answer Ava's Bear Blog Question Challenge. 1. Why did you make the blog in the first place?A senior in high school (whom I can now admit I was crushing on hard and not just hero-worshipping, as I called it) was a very committed blogger, and I aspired to be like her in more ways than one. So, like her, I started a blog on Wordpress.com. That first attempt was a very tepid one. I didn't develop a blogging habit then, but I remained a dabbler for years afterward until I found Bear. 2. Why did you choose Bearblog?I immediately loved how simple it was – none of the decision paralysis that came with trying to pick a Wordpress theme (or the ugly rich text editor you needed to write your blogs in). Also, the ethos behind it – a plain and simple blogging platform with no ads or bloat, promising to stay free and usable forever. Also, it helped that the creator's such a cool human. 3.
