A smooth arrival in Auckland, a quick pass through New Zealand's biosecurity process, and my first attempt at driving on the left set the tone for our trip. A straightforward travel day on paper, but an important start to our journey from the airport to Matamata and the Hobbiton adventure that awaited us on our North Island road trip.
