Final Fantasy X was a major jump for the franchise as it went from the polygons of the PS1 to the smoother renders of the PS2. But what if it had stayed on the former console? 2009aero tried his hand at making it a reality and the results were pretty impressive. He opted for a few scenes rather than the full blown game as a demo as that’d either be impossible or so time-consuming that the PS6 would have come out by the time he’d finished (and still not have many first-party games). He goes into various techniques that worked for the previous FF PS1 games such as camera angling, pre-rendered backgrounds, and how FMVs work (that part was especially brilliant).
