yesterday i was grateful for brunch with friends and stanza books… today i am looking forward to aj and yoga with anne… notes… yesterday at brunch… women strong, men masculine, me as much woman as man… i was the anomalous presence… there was b and m who oozed masculine virility… and there was s and s, confident business women… i wonder what was thought about me… i was not asked about myself… as i would like to have been… not obvious discomfort… more uncertainty about how to deal with my anomalous presence?… it was ok… i am comfortable in my own skin… we were all expressing depression about what is going on in our country and, we agreed, around the world… i wonder… immigrants are not what they are thought to be around the world… they do not bring more crime… they pay taxes and build businesses… the latter at a higher rate than the general population… which means they do successfully compete… which means they threaten the status quo… to take pieces of the pie… for a variety of reasons…
