Three areas of insights for improving focus, from this afternoon’s long run: needs, defense, techniques.1. Make sure your "needs" are met. If your needs are not being met, you will be distracted from whatever you are trying to focus on by those unmet needs.2. Defend against and filter sources of distraction. Anything (or anybody) that is notifying you, messaging you, emailing you, or worst, getting you to react and argue or fight that has nothing to do with your goals or what you want to focus on, is a distraction. The more you can turn off such notifications, mute or leave chat channels, delete content scrolling apps, unsubscribe from lists, and procrastinate responding to people posting about things that are not a priority for you, the better you will be able to focus on the things that are a priority for you.3.
