A while back, I mentioned that I suspected my problems with variable astigmatism (my vision being blurrier some days than others) had something to do with my use of ibuprofen as well as dry eyes, and when I discontinued taking ibuprofen and used lubricating drops, my vision got better. After a while, I started to realize the drops were starting to make my vision blurrier rather than clearer, so I figured my eyes had cleared up on their own, and I stopped taking the drops. Last month, I strained my shoulder and acetominophen didn’t help, so I took ibuprofen and figured I’d live with the blurriness — but lo, my vision didn’t get blurry, so I ruled out ibuprofen as a factor. These past couple of days, though, my vision has started to get blurry again, even though it’s getting rather humid. Having a suspicion, I looked it up online, and yes, apparently astigmatism can be exacerbated by too much humidity as well as too little.
