In a previous blog entry I talked about my desire to reduce the amount of tech I have at my fingertips. My intent was to double down on my M5 MacBook Pro and M1 iPad Pro. These two items, along with my iPhone 16 Pro, would meet my technological needs. Which they all do. Except for one thing. My brain finds that approach to my technology ecosystem incredibly boring. I have installed several applications on my MacBook Pro, along with the MacBook Pro provided by work, to make up for the shortcomings inherent in MacOS. I use the brew package manager on MacOS just as if I was using a package manager on Linux. I remarked a while back that I tend to “Linux the shit” out of MacOS by installing all these add-ons, and I have found I must continue to do that to keep things interesting and productive for me. One of these applications is Raycast. I’m sticking to the free version. Apple’s spotlight is quaint but has so many shortcomings; Raycast just does everything better. I have spent the weekend…
