MLB to Program Intentional Mistakes Into Robot Umpires to Appease Union

Major League Baseball announced the full-time rollout of the Automated Ball-Strike system for the 2026 season. Not everyone is happy so far, and following a fierce labor dispute with the umpires’ union, the league reached a historic compromise to ensure the preservation of the game’s traditional fabric.
