It’s been a while since I’ve seen any interesting RoadTests on element14, but I’m always hopeful, keeping an eye out for the next big thing. This year, it seems they decided to take April Fool’s a step further than before by posting up a RoadTest that one could apply for. So I enrolled for this obviously bogus RoadTest, only to receive a parcel of stuff to actually test! While it was obvious to me that this was just all part of the joke, I felt it was only fair that they receive a review in response, so I tried to be both as serious and funny as I could. After all, the parcel arrived in May and I had two months to test. I took this mostly seriously – running tests on the received material and drawing serious conclusions (at least, most of the time). Perhaps you’ll find this review interesting, or cringe, or perhaps funny in only a way engineers can understand … Read the full review here at element14 Community (or read the backup HTML or PDF copy)
