After months of planning, it’s the last day to get everything ready for Offbeat Dursley. I met with Georgie at the Market House to pick up the keys and get the upstairs ready. The weather forecast was looking very dicey for tomorrow, so we needed to make a few contingencies, especially for the choir. I had a few calls with the choir team to see exactly how many would be turning up and what they had in the way of equipment. There was a load of rather unsightly floor cleaning equipment and other random materials in the corner of the room, so I stacked them in the small kitchen which we wouldn’t be using. I don’t think they had been moved for years, as they were thick with dust behind. A quick sweep and we suddenly had a lot more room and pleasant environment to look at. We opened the upstairs and set up the tables for the craft areas and also a makeshift stage with audience chairs. Georgie had made some fabulous window banners which we hung from the curtain rails.
