Olá a todos!Publishing this week’s note from the beautiful island of Madeira 🌴 and probably a day later for India, 4.5h time difference is a lot! #Mishaps I went for some last-minute shopping on Monday since I had a flight to catch the next day. Everything was going smoothly until I got to the airport and found out I’d overstayed the allowed duration on my Schengen visa 😭 The Lufthansa staff at the counter weren’t particularly helpful, so I spent the next hour calling their US support number and then their German support number trying to reschedule my flight. Thankfully the German team managed to sort it out, it did cost me 232€ 💸 This was definitely an expensive lesson and it also cut my trip short by 4 days. To make things even better, one of my stays was non-refundable :) Well, looking at the bright side, at least I still got to go. The journey itself wasn’t too bad. It was around 16 hours in total and surprisingly comfortable. Kudos to Lufthansa for that. I had a layover in Munich…
