I felt like I had to get a Switch 2

I have a number of part time jobs in process or lining up for the next few months, and I have been joking for a while that I would buy myself a Switch 2 after my next payday (which, for one of my gigs, tends to come every two months or so). However, I was recently convinced by a friend that I should just buy a Switch 2 as soon as I can, because the price is going up in September. So I did! I am now playing Pokopia. I have been thinking a lot recently about how the main pressure generative AI is putting on regular people is that electronics are now stupid expensive. Really, really stupid expensive! I feel like a Switch should not cost this much! But I paid it, so I'm the chump. I can honestly say however that I probably would not have paid this much (over 500 bucks with sales tax) if I were not working in the game industry!
