When you multiply two negative numbers, they turn into a positive number in mathematics. Example: -2 x -2 = 4 It’s easy to be drawn by the allure that if you make two wrong moves, you will make the right move as the result. But life rarely works like this, because life is not a direct mathematical equation. It’s much more complicated than that. A better math equation If you’re really into math and you want to use math equations to proxy life, then perhaps giving you a score from 0 to 100 makes more sense. 0: Worst possible score 100: Best possible score This turns your notion of what is right and what is wrong from a binary into a scale. Then it’s about choosing actions that lead you to a better future instead of being stuck on whether you are doing the right thing. Two “wrongs”: 20x20 = 400 Two “righter”: 70x70 = 4900 There’s a big difference at the end.
