Prince Adam of Eternia, the alter-ego of He-Man, has lost everything to his sworn enemy Skeletor. He has even had to sleep on his friend Ram Man’s couch. Now down at heel, he needs to find himself a job. Where else would he go but to the Job Centre for Cartoon Characters, which puts him to work at a supermarket immediately… In this case it is Asda (if you live in America, think Walmart – which did own Asda till 2021, but that’s another story). Unfortunately, poor old Adam is in for something of a shock when he meets the supermarket manager… but never mind, he has the perfect job for our young prince. Created by British comedian Leigh Francis, this sketch is well-timed in some ways, with the He-Man movie just having hit cinemas. At least it gives us a good idea what could happen if the movie bombs…
