The plan for today was to work a full day and I did that. I'm only back at work part-time so this week's schedule is a bit all over the place as I figure out the flow of things. I met with one of my colleagues, and he recapped all the projects for the Web Platform team. There is a lot going on, and it was a lot of information to process even at a high level. Half of the year is nearly gone so many projects are in wrap up mode so I'm not entirely sure what projects I'll be taking back over. There's a lot going on with the Servo project, and I'm part of a team focused on finding opportunities for it. The project feels even more relevant with all the AI browser focus elsewhere. The general sentiment toward AI has been glaringly negative while I've been out. Not just in my tech circles, but on Threads, where I've spent many a day scrolling, the general audience from all different areas of work is so anti-AI you will be mobbed with replies if you post pro-AI content.
