[You may notice a minor text rendering bug in some of my screenshots, some words showing up all black rather than as the black outline with light interiors they’re supposed to. I tried to fix this issue but couldn’t, and decided that as I could read the words anyway I’d just let it be. Sometimes old PC gaming is just like that.] A loving family torn apart by war, eventually reunited on opposite sides of the same kingdom-spanning conflict. A lost innocence, slowly unravelling into an ultimately self-destructive need for revenge. A call to combat an aggressive kingdom quickly becomes an internal rebellion, other nobles having no desire to spill the blood of good soldiers in active combat when bolstering their defences would work just as well. A much greater, older, magical threat lurking in the shadows… It’s all a bit Suikoden in here; war something that brings disease and suffering to small villages, and gives militaristic commanders with a mean streak a mile wide the freedom to act…
