Is it Finally Time to Say Goodbye to WordPress?

I’m once again contemplating a move away from WordPress. I’ve been here before, more than once, and I’ve always decided against it. I don’t know if this time around will be any different but here I am, thinking about it once again. It’s a thought that’s been stuck in my brain all evening and I can’t see to let it go. There is a long list of reasons why I shouldn’t spend my time on a project like this. I mean, WordPress just works, right? It might be a bloated mess with a whole heap of features that I have no use for, but it works. It does the job I need it to do, and it does it… well enough. Also I’m not a web developer. I used to know my way around some HTML and CSS way back when. But that was years ago. Those skill have long since withered away. Putting this whole place back together using some other framework would require a ton of time just learning the basics of web development again. But I do love learning new things.
