We had a week of idyllic weather. Other than a couple of windless days (and thus, midges) it was blue skies, wisps of clouds, and a steady breeze. There’s a part of me that still feels the need to take advantage of weather like this before the summer heat arrives. And then I remember that it’s not going to be boiling hot come August! Across the lane is forestry land, the roads of which make for excellent running routes. When I get out early I see hares around the paths. We have some closer to home, too, as the last few mornings and twilights they’ve hopped around the property. They’re welcome gardeners as their favorite dish seems to be dandelion greens. Chow down little rabbit! Our resident hares appear to be a pair and quite young (and adorable). All the good weather has meant our crops are thriving. The 4 apple trees have all blossomed and appear to be set for a fruitful season. The tomatoes are getting flowers and have grown a few feet high already. And the kale, my goodness the…
