We have this one very old glass food container we use for leftovers which has always struck me as "coffer-esque" in shape and nature. I imagine that if I were exploring a tomb full of skeletons and wizards, I'd find a container shaped like this at the end of the tomb, and there'd be large gems and golden coins inside it. When I put food in this thing and lightly set the lid on top, it feels very insecure. I have to carry it to the fridge with both hands, as if I'm carrying a precious treasure. This contributes to the coffer-esque quality it has. Anyway, I am now attempting to make quick pickles in the coffer: I put way too many pickle spices in here, but the pickle spice container I have is pretty old, so I worried that I needed to overdo it a bit to overcome the staleness. In 2020 I went nuts for pickling. I tried to go nuts for bread but wasn't very good at making it, so I turned to pickling. The best thing to quick-pickle as a snack is actually cherry tomatoes.
