i’ve been collecting records for the last two years. i love the medium, the gatefolds and how special they are. last weekend i purchase a beats pill. i’ve wanted one for a while to play music that i can’t get on vinyl. but ever since i bought it i’ve been feeling some type of way. have i wasted my money investing in a turntable, speakers and a record collection of the music i enjoy? a bluetooth speaker is portable, a turntable less so. i’d like to say i haven’t wasted my money. it’s brought me a lot of joy over these last few years, visiting record stores and collecting my favourite LPs. money comes and goes. if the worst came to the worst i could just sell my records. but i think vinyl is truly special. physical media is awesome and i will continue to support artists this way. the speaker is a great addition to the family but vinyl is here to stay :)
