"Pandora's box", "genie out of the bottle" and other similar nonsense has been getting traction, touted by CEOs of AI labs (understandable) and by people who came under the influence of AI. Then these same people are boasting how they can run 10+ agents in parallel, doing x-whatever more work. Then (to the surprise of absolutely nobody) when LLM providers finally raise their prices (because that's how early startup economy works) it suddenly turns out that those who shouted the most are affected the most. For one reason or another some people simply cannot look critically at things. AI is a great tool and an amplifier, it helps me a great deal. At the same time it is naive to take "all or nothing" approach. If you have become dependent on the "top-tier" subscription now, delegating most of the work to AI already, I think you are in for a surprise. Prices may still increase, because companies must keep themselves profitable. Context explosion might end up in more fatigue and burnouts.…
